01
It's a premium kit for
students aged 13 to 20+
👩🏫
13+ y/o
School student
Tech-shy
02
Here's what the
kit comprises of:
These are all
the parts
& this is the
assembled unit
03
It will be used repeatedly by
workshop facilitators teaching
30+ students per session.
04
We synchronized the packaging
with the instruction manual.
The result
01
less mess.
02
Reduced cognitive load.
03
Lower chance of misplacing parts or missing assembly steps.
Here's how
in 04 points
01
Guided unboxing
The Manha Bot greets & guides the viewer through the unboxing - presenting the instruction manual ("Pilot's Handbook") first.

02
Segregating components based on assembly order
The fasteners & tools that were required throughout the assembly process were presented next in an organized, removable tray.

03
Assembly synchrony
We divided the assembly of the satellite into 4 consecutive phases.
Then we designed the packaging to group the parts according to these phases.

04
Progressive disclosure
By letting the students open only the section of the packaging they were currently assembling, the other parts were kept hidden.
Each section contained a preview of what they would assemble in that phase with the page numbers relating to that section in the instruction manual ("Pilot's Handbook").

This corelated to the instruction manual below.

These 05 additional features tied it all together
01
Shipping, safety & chic
Stackable, sturdy & secure enough to survive cross-city transport. A protective sleeve shielded the box while concealing compliance details for a clean first impression.

02
Design elements
Command-prompt inspired layouts echoed the coding experience in the kit. The rear of the box featured an overview of what was included in the kit - aimed to spark curiosity in students & parents alike.

03
Complexity of components
Required custom cutouts for fragile, varied shapes - no rattling, no damage. Sensitive electronic components were separated with flaps to avoid short circuiting.

04
Ultra compact
Just because its compact doesn't mean its cluttered - we designed the packaging to nest parts of different sizes without any rattling or fear of scratches.

05
Repacking logistics
Designed to be packed & repacked the workshop facilitators after every session without compromising on the novelty of unboxing for every new student.
